Annual Krab Feast


On August 15th, 2009, the chapter hosted its Annual Krab Feast at Upland Park in Chester, PA. Chaired by Brothers David Frisbey and Rick Slater the afternoon was full of great food and drinks. Friends and family enjoyed themselves throughout the day. Click here for pictures

Chester (PA) Alumni Hosts 1st Annual Ride for the Children


The Brothers of Chester Alumni hosted the 1st Annual Ride for the Children, a motorcycle and automobile ride/drive to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Organized by Brothers Montez Hill, Derek Syres, and TJ Morrison, the event was able to raise over $1000 for St. Judes. The organizers would like to thank ALL those that sponsored and supported this worthy event, and look forward to making it bigger and better next year.

4th Annual Black & White Gala


On June 20th, 2009 the Chester (PA) ALumni Chapter will be hosting our 4th Annual Black and White Gala at the Philadelphia Airport Renaissance Hotel located at 500 Stevens Drive, Philadelphia, PA. Hotel rooms have been secured at $115/room for those wishing to spend the evening.

KAPPA ALPHA PSI’S CHESTER (PA) ALUMMI TO HOST ITS 2ND ANNUAL KAPPA KONVERSATION

Chester, PA – March 9, 2009 - The Chester (PA) Alumni Chapter of KAPPA ALPHA PSI Fraternity, Inc., is hosting KAPPA KONVERSATION in Pennsylvania’s oldest city, Chester, PA.

KAPPA KONVERSATION is a Town Hall Meeting that will focus on Contract and Employment Opportunities, as well as Public Services. In the last year, Delaware County received a Grant of 45 million dollars, from the State of PA. The County is planning the construction of a new Soccer Stadium, extension of the Commodore Barry Bridge and the Chester Waterfront Renovations, in Chester City. The Fiscal Disbursement of these Funds is a key part of this discussion.

The invited Panelists are: State Representative of the 159th District, Thaddeus Kirkland; the Chair of the Delaware County Commissioners, Linda Cartisano; the Delaware County Executive Director of Employment and Training, Francis J. Carey; and Delaware County’s District Attorney, G. Michael Green; and Chester City’s Mayor, Wendell Butler, Jr.

- The Moderator will be Dr. Donald Clark, Ph.D. Dr. Clark has served on over 25 Boards and Commissions during the past decade, the most recent 8 included: Incarcerated Women’s Advisory Board, Juvenile Justice Center of PA, National Center for Education in the Inner City, National Council on Educating Black Children, WITF (PBS Harrisburg) Advisory Committee.

The Town Hall Meeting will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2008 at Chester High School, 200 West 9th Street, with doors opening at 11am. The Meeting will run from 12 Noon through 3pm. Admission is free to the Public.

2008 Turkey Bowl Tournament Champions!!!



On Saturday November 29th, 2008, Chester Alumni hosted its first Annual Turkey Bowl Tournament. The tournament included teams from Philadelphia Alumni, Abington-Ambler Alumni and Chester Alumni Chapters. Chester Alumni defended its home turf under the direction of Coach "Pretty Ricky" Hunter. Recent Widener University graduate and MVP of the tournament is Chester Alumni's own Brother Orlando "OJ" Brown recording 1 interception for a touchdown, 4 knock downs, and a 50 yard punt return.

The Turkey Bowl Tournament Committee spearheaded by Brothers Stefan Roberts, Ricardo Hunter, and Terry Robertson would like to thank all the particpating chapters as well as our Chefs of the day, Brother Ted Hawkins, and Mrs. Robin Thompkins for such a nice spread of food.
