KAPPA ALPHA PSI’S CHESTER (PA) ALUMMI TO HOST ITS 2ND ANNUAL KAPPA KONVERSATION
Chester, PA – March 9, 2009 - The Chester (PA) Alumni Chapter of KAPPA ALPHA PSI Fraternity, Inc., is hosting KAPPA KONVERSATION in Pennsylvania’s oldest city, Chester, PA.
KAPPA KONVERSATION is a Town Hall Meeting that will focus on Contract and Employment Opportunities, as well as Public Services. In the last year, Delaware County received a Grant of 45 million dollars, from the State of PA. The County is planning the construction of a new Soccer Stadium, extension of the Commodore Barry Bridge and the Chester Waterfront Renovations, in Chester City. The Fiscal Disbursement of these Funds is a key part of this discussion.
The invited Panelists are: State Representative of the 159th District, Thaddeus Kirkland; the Chair of the Delaware County Commissioners, Linda Cartisano; the Delaware County Executive Director of Employment and Training, Francis J. Carey; and Delaware County’s District Attorney, G. Michael Green; and Chester City’s Mayor, Wendell Butler, Jr.
- The Moderator will be Dr. Donald Clark, Ph.D. Dr. Clark has served on over 25 Boards and Commissions during the past decade, the most recent 8 included: Incarcerated Women’s Advisory Board, Juvenile Justice Center of PA, National Center for Education in the Inner City, National Council on Educating Black Children, WITF (PBS Harrisburg) Advisory Committee.
The Town Hall Meeting will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2008 at Chester High School, 200 West 9th Street, with doors opening at 11am. The Meeting will run from 12 Noon through 3pm. Admission is free to the Public.
